Computer
Linux Operating System Only. 512 MB RAM and approximately 3 Gigabytes free per expressway.
Software

Perl--Version 5.0 or later. Install DBI and FileHandle modules for perl using CPAN. To get perl, Go here.

PostgreSQL--7.0 or later. To get PostgreSQL go here

• Create a PostgreSQL user with PostgreSQL administration privileges-usually created using the PostgreSQL createuser [username] command.
• It is recommended that the PostgreSQL username and the Linux account name under which MITSIMLab will run are the same.
• Run initdb to initialize a PostgreSQL database.
• Run createdb [databasename] to create the PostgreSQL database you will be using.
