I spent three summer months leading backpacking trips through Colorado and Utah. Each month-long trip had about a dozen high school student participants.

I've also done plenty of great hikes on my own and with friends. solo 2004 - includes the route map and a few pictures from a 3-day solo hike in the Dry River Wilderness (WMNF, NH) from early June 2004. solo 2002 - There's a section about a 7-day solo hike in the White Mountains from Summer '02. bmc 2000 - I did a lot of backpacking (and a little rock and ice climbing) as an undergrad at Brandeis with the Outdoor and Mountaineering Club.
