Provides a fundamental understanding of the problems in natural language understanding by computers, and the theory and practice of
current computational linguistic systems. Of interest to students of artificial intelligence, algorithms, and the computational processes of comprehension and understanding.

Grading

Your grade for this class will be a linear combination of class participation, programming assignments, quizes a mid-term exam, and a final exam. The coefficients are as follows:

Programming Assignments: 40%
In class tests: 15% each
Final Exam: 20%
Class Participation: 10%
