The Jini Architecture provides a way for services (devices and software) to find each other and communicate without much prior knowledge. By relying on the Java virtual machine, Jini services are able to tell clients how to talk to them, eliminating the need to have agreed wire protocols. This leads to a dynamic, flexible service that not only has a cool logo but is actually technically interesting.
