These three books were published in the 1920's frame, after Professor Hoffmann's death in 1919. Each presents a portion of the original 1893 Puzzles Old And New:

Arithmetical Puzzles
120 pages, with 2 pages of adds for novelties and games at the end; the inside of the front cover advertizes "Hamley's Grand Magical Saloons", the book's first page advertizes "American Squeezers Cards", the inside of the back cover advertizes "Mr. J. Bland's Magical Palace of Conjuring Wonders and Puzzledom", the book's back advertizes "Pears' Soap", and the spine of the book has "ARITHMETICAL PUZZLES BY PROFESOR HOFFMANN" in red.



Mechanical Puzzles
144 pages, with two pages of adds for books at the end; the inside of the front cover and first page have the same advertizing as Arithmetical Puzzles, the inside of the back cover advertizes "Hamleys Magical Palace of Conjuring Wonders", the book back has an add for "Monkey Brand", and the book's spine has "MECHANICAL PUZZLES BY PROFESOR HOFFMANN" in yellow.



Miscellaneous Puzzles
130 pages with adds for novelties on the inside of the back cover; the inside of the front cover has advertisements for "Hamley Brothers", first page advertizes "Nuttall's Standard Dictionary", the book back is the same as the front, and spine has "MISCELLANEOUS PUZZLES BY PROFESSOR HOFFMANN" in black.
