CS65a: Introdution to 3D Animation
Course Goals
In this class we learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling, animation, and game development. There are no prerequisites for this class
and all of the modeling/animation/game development will be done using the Free and Open Source Software product Blender available at
www.blender.org
Rough Syllabus
- Week 1: 3D Modeling, 3D Geometry, 3D Transforms. Lighting. Textures. Subdivision surfaces.
- Week 2: Parenting, Rigging, Posing, Key Frame animation
- Week 3: Movie making. Storyboarding. Plot development. Sound and film scoring
- Week 4: Interactive Games. Sensor,Controller, Actuator modeling. Python controllers
- Week 5: Film/Game Festival
