· No automated protocal to get information to the people who want/need it

· “Junk mail”

The Information lens is proposed to be a general comprehensive solution that intends to “[help] people filter, sort, and prioritize messages that are already addressed to them, and it also helps them find useful messages they would not otherwise have received.” (461)
