Messages

 

·      The user may send different types of messages

·      Each message type has a template which includes a number of fields for holding information (e.g. “time”, “date”, and “location” fields for a meeting template)

o    Associated with each field is a default value, a likely alternative values, and an explanation

o    These values can be displayed and chosen by pointing to the field with the mouse

o    These values and the semi-structured nature of the templates makes construction of some messages easier

·      Those who wish not to take advantage of this structure may select the most general type of message which includes only the standard email fields

·      The authors believe that the templates will be used because of their convenience
