The
user may send different types of messages
·
Each
message type has a template which includes a number of fields for holding
information (e.g. “time”, “date”, and “location” fields for a meeting template)
o Associated with each field
is a default value, a likely alternative values, and an explanation
o These values can be
displayed and chosen by pointing to the field with the mouse
o These values and the
semi-structured nature of the templates makes construction of some messages
easier
·
Those
who wish not to take advantage of this structure may select the most general
type of message which includes only the standard email fields
·
The
authors believe that the templates will be used because of their convenience
