· Several other applications can be created using the same framework as the software can support cooperative work in a variety of ways while seeming both smoothly integrated to the user and easy to implement because it takes advantage of its support of structured messages

· Computer conferencing

o A new message type called “conference opener” is added

o A response option called “join” is given for this message type. Join will create:

§ a new folder with the same name as the conference

§ a new rule to select messages addressed to “Anyone” that contain this name in the topic field to the new folder

§ a new rule to move all messages about the topic to the new folder

o complexity of rules allows specification which may increase the productivity of the electronic conference
