Today’s scheduled mail outage is now complete. All services were restored ahead of schedule. mail.cs.brandeis.edu was brought back up (with imap, pop, etc restored) at 14:04, and mail scanning was restored at 14:46. As expected, there was a slight delay in message delivery following the restoration of mail scanning and delivery as messages which had been spooled for later processing during the virus scanner upgrade were resubmitted for scanning, but on time message delivery resumed after approximately 35 minutes.

With all services now restored, anyone experiencing problems with mail or any other service should contact guru to report the problem. (note: Please do not use email to report that you suspect a delay in email delivery. If you are correct in your suspicions, such reports would obviously be delayed in delivery.)
